How to use the Prayer for the Nations Index

The Prayer for the Nations Index is a source-linked research tool for exploring geographical references in the published messages attributed to Luz de María. You can search for countries, regions, cities, other places, and subjects, then narrow the results using the available filters.

1. Start with a place or subject

Enter a country, region, city, other geographical place, or subject in the search box. For example, you might search for Jamaica, Japan, Middle East, earthquake, or flooding.

A broad search from the home page searches across all three published classifications so that an indexed place is not hidden simply because it has no Direct Prayer record.

2. Understand the three classifications

The index deliberately keeps three kinds of records separate. This distinction is important because a place being mentioned does not necessarily mean that prayer was explicitly requested for that place.

Direct Prayer

A high-confidence occurrence in which explicit prayer or intercession wording names the place. Use this classification when you want the most conservative prayer-request view.

Prayer-Linked

The place has a meaningful grammatical connection to a prayer imperative, but the wording does not meet the stricter Direct Prayer standard.

Warning Only

The place appears in a warning or related geographical statement but is not made the object of prayer in that occurrence. These records are not explicit prayer requests.

3. Use “All” when you are asking whether a place was mentioned

The detailed Search page defaults to Direct Prayer. This is intentional: it provides the most conservative result when the question is whether prayer was explicitly requested for a place.

However, if you want to know whether a place appears anywhere in the published index, change Classification to All. This includes Direct Prayer, Prayer-Linked, and Warning Only records.

Example: A search limited to Direct Prayer may return no results for a particular country even though that country appears as Prayer-Linked or Warning Only. In that case, selecting All reveals the broader indexed record.

4. Narrow your search with filters

The full Search page lets you combine several filters. You can narrow results by country, classification, year, speaker, context, and geography type.

You do not need to use every filter. Start broadly and add filters only when they help answer your research question.

5. Read each result in context

Search results preserve key research information such as the message date, named place, reported speaker, context, classification, and source PDF page wherever available.

The classification tells you how the geographical reference relates to prayer. The context describes the subject associated with the indexed occurrence; it should not be treated as an independent claim that the described event occurred.

6. Follow the record back to its source

The index is designed to make source checking straightforward. Where a PDF page is supplied, use the source link to consult the corresponding annual English PDF and read the published message in its fuller context.

7. What the index does — and does not — establish

This website is a research index of wording found in published messages attributed to Luz de María. It does not independently establish the supernatural origin of those messages or the fulfillment of predictions or warnings.

In Catholic usage, ecclesiastical permissions such as an Imprimatur or Nihil Obstat should not by themselves be understood as formal Church confirmation that an alleged private revelation is supernatural in origin.
